He was in a relationship with Lucy Clousen ( Davey, and had children Ivy May Pettifer ( Clousen, William Stanley Clousen, Frederick Clousen, and Albert Clousen. William Clousen died at age 61 years old in September 1930 in Creswick, VIC Australia.

In 1868, in the year that William Clousen was born, on October 28th, Thomas Edison - age 21 - applied for his first patent. It was for the electric vote recorder and was designed to make voting quicker and the counting of votes more accurate. Congress didn't like the idea so Edison's voting machine was never used.
Did you know?
In 1892, by the time he was 24 years old, on October 5th, the Dalton Gang was shot. The Gang was attempting to rob two banks - simultaneously - in Coffeyville Kansas but word spread of the robberies and townspeople with guns greeted them when they left the banks. Four members of the gang were killed - only Emmett Dalton survived his wounds and spent 14 years in prison.
