    Seymour - William E. Imlay Jr., 77, of Cortland died at 5:38 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, 1998, at Memorial Hospital in Seymour. He had been in health for several years. He was the retired owner of Imlay's Upholstery Shop and retired from auto body repair. He was also a member of Seymour Christian Church, Disabled American Veterans of Kentucky, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Voss and Sons Funeral Home, with Bill Scott and Randy Roberts, officiating. Calling will be from 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, with military graveside rites conducted by members of Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Disabled American Veterans. Memorials may be made to Seymour Christian Church or the donor's choice of charities. Mr. Imlay was born in Jackson County Nov 16, 1920, the son of William E. and Myrtle Carpenter Imlay. He married Lucille I. Blair, Oct. 13, 1941, in Floyd County, and she survives. Other survivors include daughters, Beverlyn Weddell, Alta Cruse, both of Seymour, and Vonda Coffelt of West Lafayette; sons, William E. Imlay, III of Seymour, Wilbur E. Imlay of Medora and James C. Imlay, Sr. of Brownstown. 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers, a sister and a grandchild. The Republic. Columbus, IN. 10 Aug. 1998.
