Twenty years ago, this kid was my best friend. I whish I could remember more about our friendship other than knowing we spent a lot time together over the course of 3 or 4 years, just children in elementary school. During the mid 2000's I wondered why I couldn't find any trace of him on the internet. It's was devastating when on another whim to search his name and then find this.
Close to the day of actually moving away, I was at the school and ran into his mother. She told me he cried about me leaving, and I was surprised. I cried later that I could be so callous. He still is an important figure in my childhood memories.
