William James Rout was born in 1855 to Catherine Rout (Ford) Meredith and Charles Rout, and had siblings Charlotte Ann (Rout) Ring and Phillis (Rout) Jenkin. He married Honora (Power) Rout, and had children Francis Albert Rout, Sarah Ann Rout, Margaret Mary (Rout) Wingrave, Ernest Rout, and Annie Frilay. William Rout died at age 67 years old on January 4, 1923 in Kensington, City of Melbourne County, VIC Australia, and was buried at Coburg Pine Ridge Cemetery Elizabeth St, in Preston, City of Darebin County.
