He had siblings Constance Calanchini, Peter Calanchini, Milla Maria Calanchini, Edith May Calanchini, Marion Calanchini, Joseph John Calanchini, and Vittoria Emily Calanchini. He married Emily Mary Lindsey Calanchini in 1896, and had children Elizabeth Gladys Calanchini, Marion 'Eadie' Edith Calanchini, Ellen Mary Calanchina, and Frederick William Calanchini. William Calanchini died at age 74 years old on June 19, 1944 in Gaffneys Creek.
