He married Elizabeth Anne Martin (1821-1884) on February 9, 1849 in Paddington Green, London, England. The couple lived in St. George Hanover Square, Middlesex, England and later moved to Australia between 1851-1853. There in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia they had children Nicholas, Ellen Jane, Thomas Michel, Elizabeth Mary, and Elizabeth Livett. William Livett died at age 56 years old on December 1, 1867 in Prahran, City of Stonnington County, VIC Australia.
