    The Inverell Times. N.S.W. 12th August 1919. - MR. WILLIAM MUNDY. The death occurred early yesterday morning of Mr. William Mundy, of the firm of Starr and Mundy, of the Hotel Inverell, at the age of 79 years. The deceased had enjoyed fairly good health until a few months ago, when he began to fail rapidly, and despite the best of medical skill and attention he gradually became worse, the end coming very peacefully. The late Mr. Mundy first saw light at Wollombi, near Maitland, on September 13, 1843. Thirty-seven years ago he proceeded to Guyra, where he became part proprietor of the well known Royal Hotel. He was engaged in mail contracting between between Guyra and Tingha for upwards of 25 years. In August 1914, he came to Inverell and assumed pro- prietorship of the Hotel Inverell. He never married, and his only surviving relatives are three sisters and a brother, viz., Mrs. Wilson ( Inverell ), Mrs. Starr ( Inverell ), Mrs. Elliott ( Sydney ) and Mr. George Moore ( Oakwood ).
