He was my grandad. One of my favorite memories was when he came out one Christmas, and took my to the local Ames store where he let me pick out a Mickey Mouse wallet. That may have been the last time he came out for a visit.
Another memory I have is during another visit, this one during the summer. He told my mom and I that he was going fishing. After a couple hours, Mom sent me out to find him. That didn't take long at all, because there's only 2 fishing spots in that town. Well, when I found him, he wasn't fishing out of the creek. He was fishing out of a fish hatchery pond lol. I really miss this man, and can't help but wonder if he's proud of the man I've become.
