William was an Aerospace Engineer deeply involved in the US Space Flights and the Moon landings. He was born in Aberdine, his father was Jessie Archibald Bennett, a Teacher and one time Rail Road Mail Officer. I believe born in Kansas. His mother was Lieontina Pesinovski. She was a first generation American and her parents immigrated from Bohemia (now part of Cheklosvakia) when the Communists invaded. William was married in Washington DC to Gladys Barrentine who was born in Aligaror, Mississippi. They have 3 sons. Robert Barry Bennett, Brett William Bennett and John Blair Bennett.

William was born in Aberdine, North Dakota, served in the Navy in the Pacific furring WWII and taught in the Naval School at Nashville furring the Korean War. After the end of the Korean War, William moved to St Paul Minnesota where he worked for Honnewell and got his first Degree in Engineering at the University of Minnesota, Minning and Engeneering. Later he moved to Southern California, working at Hughes Aircraft and later TRW and Lurton Industries and received a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA and another Masters in Electrical Engineering from USC. He settled in Torrance, California.

William graduated from Aberdine High School, later went to the University of Minnesota and received a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Then he went to UCLA and received a Masters in Mechanical Engineering and then went to USC and received another Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering.
