William was born on October 2, 1929 and passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2009. William was a resident of New London, Minnesota, but lived many places across the United States. His mother was Genevieve Marian(Hathaway ) Kidd (Oct 18, 1896 - Sep 4, 1973). His father was Harry Leslie Kidd (Jul 12, 1899 - Jun 24, 1948). He attended grade school and high school, graduating in 1947. Bill joined the United States Navy, and served his country as a Naval Aviator for the next 21 years retiring in 1972 as a Lieutenant Commander. William is survived by wife Shirley Jean (Erickson) Kidd, sons Michael Scott Kidd (Bonnie Gail (Partin) Kidd), Dr. Steven Leslie Kidd (Wendy (Frank) Kidd), James Jeffrey Kidd (Shawn (Collins) Kidd), and daughter Marjoire Ann (Kidd) Johnson (Gregory Johnson). Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 1, 2009, at Hope Presbyterian Church in Spicer. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home in New London and for one hour prior to the services at the church.ADVERTISEMENT BYLooking for more information?
