William W Didway 1867 - 1911

William W Didway was born in 1867. He married Matilda Didway, and they had children William Silas Didway, William Hardy Didway, Hosea Lee Didway, Rosie Lee (Didway), and John Cleo Didway. William's partner was Magnolia Louisa (Murdock), and they had children Henri Claude Didway, Mont Isaac Didway, and Vile Didway. William Didway died at age 44 years old in 1911.

In 1887, when he was 20 years old, on January 28th, the largest recorded snowflakes fell in a snowstorm in Fort Keogh, Montana. They were supposed to have been 15 inches wide and 8 inches thick. A rancher in the area said that they were “larger than milk pans”. A Wild West tall tale? Not according to the Guinness World Records book.
