  • Introduction

    William “Bill” Sumner was a hard working and wonderful father. He fought for his country in WW2 as a member of the US Army, spending approximately 1.5 years in Europe (France and Germany). He was a survivor of the D-Day invasion of Normandy. Never asking for much for himself, his focus was on providing for his wife and three sons, which he did very well. He is greatly missed.

His final year....
Despite being terminally ill with cancer, William had great joy in his final year as he met his great grandson “Nick” who shares William’s name as his middle name. He was extremely proud and always happy when he was around his great grandson. Always bringing a smile to his face.
