    Willis E. Twyman Sr., 78 N. Hamilton St.. a retired employee of International Business Machines Corp., died Friday after a long illness. He was 71 years old. Mr. Twyman was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church tor w years and was active on the Board of Deacons until his illness. He also served as an usher at the church. Mr. Twyman was born in Madison County, Va., March 25, 1897, the son of the late James Lewis and Annie Twyman. He moved to Poughkeepsie and has been a resident here, for more than 50 years. He was a veteran of World War I and was a former Mason. In 1923, in Poughkeepsie, he married Martha Ellis, who survives. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Willis E. Twyman Jr., five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday all p.m. at the Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles E. Bird officiating. Burial will be in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gilmore Funeral Home, 19 Cottage St., from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from to 9 p m. 2 to 4 (Source: Poughkeepsie Journal, February 8th, 1969, page 12)
