She was my paternal Grandmother. We called her Grandma Tuffy, after her German shepherd. (The other Grandmother was Grandma Bruno/cocker spaniel.)
As a 20 something, she was on a roller derby team in Los Angeles. She never learned to drive and was the head of her local order of Eastern Star/Masons.
