    Winifred was born in Kansas, near Redding, Kansas, in 1915; she spent most of her time on her parent's farm, the last of 8 older children, with a sister 26 years older than she. In later years, they were inseperable. She finally married Edward Nathan Clayton in 1935, and because of job opportunities, moved to Wichita, Kansas to work at Boeing Aviation. There she remained until her passing in 2010.

    Winifred attended a one room school house, which just happened to be located across the lane, where her farm was located. She, I believe, completed the 8th grade or possibly 9th grade. She won many awards for her extraordinary abiltiy and talent for Caligraphy. She retained her ability throughout her lifetime, even until her passing.

GRANDMA VISITING AT 2730 S PATTIE, HER HOME IN WICHITA, KANSAS. i BELIEVE THAT THIS WAS TAKEN AFTER GRANDFATHER CLAYTON CLAYTON PASSED IN NOVEMBER OF 1986. PROBABLY PLANNING BURIAL.
