    Zachary was born on July 28, 1980, to Gary and Joni Piazza, at Tri-City Hospital in Oceanside, California. He has a sister Harmonia Piazza, and a brother, Andy Piazza. He was very close to his siblings. He loved to spend time with his kids and family, snow board, rock climb, and barefoot ski at the river. He was a great soccer player in grammar school and was handpicked to play on a traveling team in Fallbrook, California. Everyone who met him said that he was charismatic, the life of the party, and the room lit up when he entered. He left behind a wife, Fallon Piazza, and two children, Cambria and Caleb Piazza. Unfortunately, the kids were too young to remember him. He died doing something that he loved, motorcycle riding on his new Harley Davidson.

In 1980, in the year that Zachary Aaron Piazza was born, on April 24th, a rescue attempt was begun in the Iranian Hostage Crisis. The attempt failed and 8 US servicemen were killed. Eight helicopters had been sent for the mission, but only 5 arrived in operating condition., Since the military had advised that the mission be aborted if there were fewer than 6 helicopters, President Carter stopped it. Upon leaving, a helicopter collided with a transport plane and the men were killed.
Did you know?
In 1993, he was only 13 years old when on February 26th, a truck bomb exploded in the garage under the North Tower of the World Trade Center. While the bomb didn't do what was planned (collapse the North Tower into the South Tower), it did kill six people and injured thousands of people.
