Born in Orani, Bataan, the Philippines, David Zorro first gained notice as an actor when John Huston memorably cast him as the houseboy, Anacleto, in Reflections in a Golden Eye (1967), with Marlon Brando, Elizabeth Taylor, Julie Harris and Brian Keith. Always creative, Zorro moved to Orlando, Florida and took up the paintbrush in the late 60s. His paintings and sculpture were exhibited at the International Art Show at the New York Coliseum, Saks Fifth Avenue, the State University of New York, and the Philippine Consulate General. UNICEF reproduced one of his works on a card. He then moved to in New York City where he worked in the late 70s and 80s as a celebrity hairstylist, creating hairdos that were featured in Vogue and other magazines before retiring and moving to the Chicago area to be near family.
