Doug was a loving father and husband he was also the most caring person you could meet. he worked at Jarome foods until the plant closed in the early '90s after that he started working for hi-vee where he worked as a stock clerk and a bagger until he passed in 1996. While Doug worked for hi-vee he would always take time to answer customer questions whether he was on the clock or off the clock. His favorite activities were camping, fishing, going to the park, going swimming, and anything else that his daughter Eva wanted to do.
