"The 1925 football team was not a very big success. The men worked hard, and often played under disadvantages due to the lack of men out for this sport. Some of the men played when they were not in the best of condition physically...De Witt Portal and Ralph Fry were consistent ground gainers in the backfield...the former receiving honorable mention on the All-State football team...Captain Tom Tigner played his last year of high school football..."
