Ammon Ashford Hennacy was born in 1893 in Negley, Columbiana County, Ohio United States to Eliza (FitzRandolph) Hennacy and Benjamin Franklin Hennacy, and had siblings Lida Rebecca (Hennacy) Drummond and Lida Rebecca (Hennacy) Drummond. He married Selma (Melms) Hennacy in 1919 and they later divorced in 1965. He had children Carmen Melms and Sharon Hennacy (Melms) Maxwell. Ammon Hennacy died at age 76 years old on January 14, 1970 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, UT.
