Anna Jennettie Pearl Yount
Anna Jenettie Pearl Yount was born 2 August 1883 in Polk County Missouri. She died 24 April 1967 in Memphis, Hall County Texas. She was the daughter of the late Peter B. Yount and Laura Alice Needham. Pearl (as she was called) married Henry Green Vallance born 17 February 1863 in Greenup, Greenup County Kentucky and died 14 November 1925 in Plaska, Hall County Texas. They were married 4 November 1904 in Denton, Denton County Texas. After their marriage Pearl and Henry moved to a farm at Plaska, Hall County Texas that Henry had purchased. They were the parents of six sons and one daughter. All the sons are deceased. Pearl and Henry engaged in farming until the death of Henry in 1925. Pearl continued to live on the farm and raised her children to adulthood. After the sons quit farming and left home she leased the farm to various farmers on crop shares. Her sons Marvin Vallance and Alvin Vallance at one time leased the farm from her after they were married. She remained on the farm until early 1960's when she purchased a house and moved to Memphis, Hall Co., Texas. She remained there until her health forced her into a nursing home.Pearl was this submitters Grandmother. Grandmother Pearl is buried in the Old Fairview Cemetery, Memphis, Hall County Texas beside Grandfather Henry.
