Beautiful lady and dress. Wonder if we are related..we have Dosses in our "tree". Hmmmmmm.
I have a public tree on ancestry. com. The Doss/Kriege Family. Annie was my grandmother.

Oh,really?! Your grandmother was beautiful. My grandmother was a Doss....from Arkansas. Rosa Mylinda Doss. I am on Ancestry.com also. Maybe we are "distant twigs" from the same tree. :-) You never know.

They had to take very good care of these dresses and of all their clothing or have servants care for it. This must have been expensive just in the fabric alone not to mention the amount of time. You can tell by the way it drapes that it was made well.
Annie,(my grandmother's) father and uncle owned the General Store in Cedarville, Ca. and Annie was often sent to San Francisco on buying trips for fabric, etc.

Thanks, Sherlyn Doss-DeWinter. Annie's husband, Clarence Doss, was Curtis Doss's brother. She was quite a lady, but also a little spitfire! Never more than 5 feet tall!
