Aurore Hebert was a hardworking woman and matriarch. Descendant of Mi’kmaq and French heritage. She spoke English and French fluently. She was an excellent cook, housewife and fisherman. She rose early mornings preparing breakfast for her family; before the hunt. Meanwhile, tending farm alongside her dedicated and also hardworking husband Alsime Bourgoin. Her family was her life. She had a gift of healing and keeping us all safe. She is fondly remembered and we miss her amazing blueberry pie.
