Avis Smith

Avis is my mother she was a good mother despite a seven year fight with drug addiction she taught me how to be a giving person, she taught me family values and how to stick together and be unified. She taught me the value of being a woman. I didn't take my mother's life as a negative I learned from her life what not to do in my own life I love and honor my mother for her wisdom, for giving me life. She told me that I would be a leader and will do great things. As a youth some of the lessons she taught I didn't understand at the time but I understand them clearly now and I make effort to apply that wisdom in my daily life.
