Benjamin Schrecengost was born circa November 15, 1789 to Conrad Schrecengost and Susanna (Zartman) Schrecnegost, and had siblings Martin Schrecengost, John Schrecengost, Mary Schrecengost, Eva Elizabeth Schrecengost, Peter Schrecengost, Christopher Schrecengost, Conrad Schrecengost Jr., Daniel Schrecengost, Daughter Schrecengost, and Mary (Schrecengost) Truby. He married Susannah (Oury) Schrecengost, and had children Elizabeth Schrecengost, Mary Ann "Polly" Schrecengost, Hannah Schrecengost, George Schrecengost, Susanna Schrecengost, Daniel Schrecengost, Issac Schrecengost, and Joseph John Schrecengost.
