Bob and Dee, after their second divorce, in the 1980s. Bob would die of a stroke while undergoing heart surgery in December 1987. Dee would remarry and divorce a fifth time, and live until 2015, when she died of pneumonia (old age, basically) while at an assisted living facility in Fort Worth. She had been suffering from dementia for many years prior to her death.
Robert Myron Lindley was a sportswriter for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, primarily covering the Texas Rangers from their move to Arlington, Texas, in 1972 (prior to which they had been the Washington Senators), until his retirement in 1986.
He died of stroke while undergoing quintuple bypass surgery in Dallas, Texas, in December 1987.
