Charlotte's mother was Elisabeth Knuth, Father unknown. She met an Army Officer named William Tschinkel when he was in Bavaria. They fell in love, got married, and had their first child, Judith Tanea Tschinkel while in Germany. They immigrated LEGALLY to the United States where they lived with William's sister, Maria Tschinkel Morgen. William was a Textile Chemist, a family occupation. Maria was married to Andrew Morgen, and Maria had a son, Roland Morgan. The Tschinkel family stayed in Chicago for a few years, then moved to Pennsylvania. The second daugher, Ursula Charlotte Tschinkel was born in 1961. They stayed there a few years then moved to Minneapolis, where the third and last child was born. Heidi Marie Tschinkel was born in 1962.
