Chuck was a fantastic man. He enjoyed nature and spent a good portion of his retirement taking road trips with his wife, Barb. He enjoyed listening to Elvis and was a fan of the TV show Star Trek and college and professional football. He was a veteran, having served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War as a Signalman. He was a proud member of the American Legion Post No. 534, the Madison Jazz Society, the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps, and the church choir at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church. He was funny, caring, artistic, and never took himself too seriously.
