Photo of William C. Fitzgerald. Born Feb 18, 1837 near St. Joseph Missouri. In 1862 he enlisted into Company one hundred and third Illinois Infantry. Was a prisoner of war being held at Millen Junction Ga. and then to Florence S.C. Lost his leg due to exposure and was amputated by confererate surgeons.
