Clinton White
Clinton's parents were David M. White, born 1875 in Rhode Island, an editor ,and Eva Jane Latham, (1878 - 1956) also born in Rhode Island, a housewife. Clinton was married to Gracye (sic) (Dodge) White (1907 - 1999) on October 19 1929 in Westchester New York. They had 2 sons and 2 daughters. On his World War II draft card dated October 16, 1940, Clinton Latham White stated that he was born in Lancaster New Hampshire, that he was 31, and lived in Conway New Hampshire. His next of kin was his wife, Gracye (sic) and he worked for the School District of Conway. He was 6 ft tall and weighed about 150 pounds. He had hazel eyes, brown hair, and light skin. No distinguishing characteristics. In the 1940 federal census, Clinton (31) was married to Grace (32) and they were living in Conway, New Hampshire. He was a teacher in a public high school and they rented their home. Also in the household were children Clinton D. (8), Ann (6), Jane (3) and David (7 mos). Susan T Mason was living in their home as a housekeeper.

I am 2nd generation San Jose and have seen a lot of changes in the area while growing up. We used to be known as the "Valley of Heart's Delight" (because the Valley was covered with orchards and there were many canneries to process the food grown here, which shipped all over the US) - now we have adopted the nickname "Capital of Silicon Valley" and Apple, Ebay, Adobe, Netflix, Facebook, and many more tech companies are within a few miles of my current home in San Jose (including AncientFaces). From a small town of 25,000, we have grown to 1 million plus. And when you add in all of the communities surrounding us (for instance, Saratoga, where I attended high school, living a block from our previous Mayor), we are truly one of the big cities in the US.
