Edward Osmond Crowell, Sr. was born February 20, 1905 probably in Rockwood, Colbert County, Alabama to James Armistead Crowell and Alice Lewellen Crowell. He died January 1975 in Florence, Lauderdale County, Alabama. He married Willie Mae James of Russellville, Franklin County, Alabama.
Edward Osmon Crowell Sr is the son of James Armestead Crowell and Alice C Luallen. He was born on February 20, 1905 in Rockwood- Franklin County, Alabama and had siblings William Andrew Crowell (1896-1972), Sally Crowell (1898-1910), Charles L Crowell (1898-1910), Colson Clark "Coley" Crowell (1900-1977), John Arthur Crowell (1908-1997), and Annie Freeman Crowell
(1910-1991).
On December 18, 1927 he married Willie Mae James (1912–1986) in Russellville, Franklin, Alabama. The couple had three children together: Edward Osmond Crowell Jr (1928-1975), Jerry Trapp Crowell Sr (1935-1982), and Donald Autry Crowell (1943-2002).
He served in the US Navy and was part of the class 565 at Miramar Naval Base in California. He entered the Navy on December 7, 1947 and retired as a Disabled Veteran in 1950.
