Curtis Wayne Petree was born on August 22, 1967 at the Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia, Pettis County Missouri to parents Beverly Ann Moore Petree (1946-) and Jackie Dean Petree (1941 - 2015). He grew up in Springfield, Missouri, USA with his mother who raised him. He was a student and 1986 graduate of Hillcrest High School in Springfield, MO. After high school, he served in the peace time U.S.Marine Corps and earned the rank of Private First Class. Curtis died while on active service on Nov. 30th 1988 at the age of 21.
