Bob Richards was born as Robert L. Schwartz was a popular personality at KSDK Channel 5 in St. Louis, Missouri, Richards grew up in Bloomfield, New Jersey, and attended Pennsylvania State University, Bob was the Chief Meteorologist at KSDK back in 1983 to 1994, Richards earned the Seal of Approval from the American Meteorological Society.
Before joining KSDK, Richards began his career as a Meteorologist for WATE-TV in Knoxville, Tennessee before joining The Weather Channel in Atlanta, Georgia back in 1982.
