I wish you (and everyone) would post locations of your family members, that helps in narrowing down other searches, etc. Thanks and since I'm related to Smiths, and Millers back a few generations ago I wonder if your Elijah Craig Smith is a relative? My great grand parents lived in Texas as did their children and most of their grandchildren. Nancy Jane Smith married James Harvey Vermillion (Texas Ranger) in Altoga (I believe), Texas. Thank you, Saundra
An addition to the above. I meant to say that a member wrote and told me that Joel Smith is a probably one of our relatives. Then to so are the Jones family, Something so easy to look up. She said that both the Smiths and the Jones from N. Carolina area are probably related to my family and that the area they were from was in North Carolina down near the southern border. I haven't been able to find much. Had two computer crashes and lost a lot of information, all that I hadn't printed up, so, I should go back and find everything again. I have a photo of my great grandparents, their wedding photo, so, if I can locate it in my computer I'll post it.

I am Robin Gaye (Miller) Dotson and I have been doing family history research since 1978 when I was 19 years old. I live in Wise County, Virginia. I am a descendant of Jacob H. B. Miller and Martha J. Russell Miller through their son, Augustine Shannon "Gus" Miller.

I am related to the Vermillion and Winkler familes. I have found quite a bit about the Vermillions and have found a little bit about the Winklers, not there are brick walls in searching for each and all of these relatives history. I lived in Wilmington California when my father worked in the shipyards when I was very little, we then moved to Hermosa Beach, California where I grew up. I have tried to find old friends from Wilmington, like Phylis McFadden, Lynn Austin and Arlene Wearing(Homes-married name, who were my junior high friends, and not knowing their married names or where they're now living, they are lost to me as well. Any news of them would also be appreciated.

I am researching my SMITH's that start with Gulielmus Smith, born abt. 1735, in Hanover Co, VA. He moves his family to Granville Co, NC about 1762 and there he lives out his life as a large Slave and Plantation owner. Most of his sons leave the area and move to the Claiborne/Campbell Co, TN area. His son, Ransom D. Smith moves to Marion Co, TN in 1830 and this is where he remains until death. Most of his children follow him to Marion Co, TN but others either stay in Eastern Tennessee or go on to MO.
