Emily Joella Pruett Butler in Alabama
Emily Joella 'Jody' lived to be 100 years of age. She loved to go to church and loved to wear her fancy hats to church. She was a tiny woman, 5' 2" or so and married a man over 6' tall. They had 11 children. She spent her later years crocheting, piecing quilt tops and sitting by the window watching the world go by. She had been born in Cherokee County, Alabama and died and was buried in Walker County, Alabama. Her husband, Robert Wesley Butler, is buried beside her in Boldo Cemetery.
