Emma (Byrd ) & Martha (Bowers) Jackson

Grumpy Grandma! Emma Ida Byrd was born on April 7, 1864, in Melrose, Iowa, her father, Jesse, was 18 and her mother, Mary, was 17. She married Walter Scott Jackson in 1877. They had three children during their marriage. She died on October 10, 1943, in Dodge City, Kansas, at the age of 79, and was buried in Jewell, Kansas. This is a picture of Emma and her mother in law Martha Eliza Bowers Jackson and her nephew on the Byrd side.
