Eric Charles Rosendahl Has a Brother, Daniel Ernest Rosendahl. He and Dr. Anne E. Kosco have two daughters. Daughter Olivia Rosendahl was recently given a scholarship to Northwestern University in Illinois for being in first place nationwide in her category. The story and photo are found at:
A third Brother of mine is Nik Rosendahl, and spouse Heidi L. Rosendahl, and their Mother is Jeanne D. Rosendahl, who is as far as I know 81 years old. I have attempted to contact my family on their Facebook pages but have received no reply. I have never met any of my only living relatives and only discovered their existence last July when I found all of the records and family history proving that I am their older half-brother. The family migrated to America in 1908 from Havdhem, Gotland, Sweden. My Grandfather, Charles Thomas Wesley Rosendahl, and his two sisters, Louise AM Rosendahl and Ruth LC Rosendahl, lived in Fresno, California, and the family today all lives in the Glendale area of Los Angeles where I was born. My Father, also named Charles Thomas Wesley Rosendahl, was born in Iowa as confirmed by his birth certificate which I obtained showing my Grandfather and his spouse, Dorthy M. Barnett from New Mexico, were Charles' parents. My Father Chartes married Ruth Wilson from Kansas City, Missouri, about 1955 and had two sons, Carl Erik Rosendahl in 1956, and me, Rolf Alan Rosendahl.in 1958 Charles remarried Jeanne D. Norman and Daniel Rosendahl was also born in 1958. Charles died in 1997 in La Crescenta, Glendale, California, where the Rosendahl family still lives. There are likely a number of other relatives both in the U.S. and Scandinavia, but not being able to even contact my immediate family leaves me somewhat "in the dark" since I don't have any knowledge of what happened after 1960, the first and last time I ever met my Father. All of my family on my Mother's side of the family have passed except for one cousin named William Swenson, who I also have not spoken to for 30 years even though he lives here in Kansas City. The true family history was discovered by a stroke of luck, or fate, and was found on the internet site at:
The 1920s publication of the story was published on the Havdhem, Gotland, website in 2013, naming Chales, Louise, and Ruth as the immigrants to America in 1908. Should anyone wish to contact me about the names of all the family who remained in Sweden, I would be happy to send the Family Tree I created last July. It is a 100% match to me and the immediate family in California. My Father had a brother named Richard Rosendahl, and I know almost nothing about him or his family who are also likely in California, Iowa, or Minnesota.
