Esther Charlotte (Pawson) Gibbs - Born 10 Mar 1886 Hastings, Adams, Nebraska, USA to Martha Elizabeth Gardener and William Thomas Pawson. She was #10 of 14 children. By 1900 the family had moved to Ariosa, Granite Canon, Hecla, Islay, Laramie, Wyoming. She was a notable horsewoman with many trophies and ribbons to show for it. 13 Aug 1907 • Salt Lake City, Utah Esther Pawson won the Post Cup Horse race women's division. 09 Oct 1907 • Cheyenne, Laramie, Wyoming, USA she married Charles Angus Gibbs. 29 September 1908 • Cheyenne, Laramie, Wyoming, USA their son Edward Chester Gibbs was born. By 1910 • Esther and Charles Gibbs had moved to Weiser, Washington, Idaho. Where their daughter Cora Lucille Gibbs was born on 23 Apr 1910. The family moved again in 1920 to Twin Falls Ward 1, Twin Falls, Idaho Esther Charlotte (Pawson) Gibbs became a nurse, caring for the sick and injured. In 1930 • Elko, Elko, Nevada she is divorced from Charles Angus Gibbs. 1935 she is found in Twin Falls, Idaho. 1940 she is back in Elo, Nevada. She died 10 DEC 1970 • In Fallon, Churchill, Nevada, USA

I'm a Founder of AncientFaces and support the community answering questions & helping members make connections to the past (thus my official title of Founder & Content and Community Support ). For me, it's been a labor of love for over 20 years. I truly believe with all of my heart that everyone should be remembered for generations to come. I am 2nd generation San Jose and have seen a lot of changes in the area while growing up. We used to be known as the "Valley of Heart's Delight" (because the Valley was covered with orchards and there were many canneries to process the food grown here, which shipped all over the US) - now we have adopted the nickname "Capital of Silicon Valley" and Apple, Ebay, Adobe, Netflix, Facebook, and many more tech companies are within a few miles of my current home in San Jose (including AncientFaces). From a small town of 25,000, we have grown to 1 million plus. And when you add in all of the communities surrounding us (for instance, Saratoga, where I attended high school, living a block from our previous Mayor), we are truly one of the big cities in the US.
