Florence (O'Connell) Mackowiak
Separated from her husband, Bernard Mackowiak, for many years -- several decades? Lived with her sister Regina O'Connell Hazel, and brother-in-law and family in Arlington, VA after separation. Don't know if marriage was annulled by the Catholic Church -- no known children. Florence was an accomplished ice skater in her younger years, and quite attractive. Doted on nieces and nephews in her later years. Never gained a driver's license, always rode the bus. Liked to shop in Washington, DC. Devout Catholic, attended services regularly. Died just before Christmas 1974, of breast cancer that had metastasized, at a DC hospital. Buried with her parents and siblings at St. James (Catholic) Cemetery, associated with the nearby St. James Catholic Church, Falls Church, VA. Related to the Irish Emancipator and MP Daniel O'Connell. Came from a long-line of professionals, including doctors, lawyers and business people.

Was married but separated from Bernard Mackowiak. Florence had no children. Picture of Florence's gravesite at the Find-a-Grave website. Find A Grave Memorial# 20136576
