FLOYD LIN FERGUSON, 73, of Ona, W.Va., passed away Thursday, May 24, 2007, after a brief illness. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2007, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, W.Va., by Minister W.R. "Bud" Lucas. Floyd was born July 5, 1933, in Cabell County, West Virgina, a son of the late Ostace Earl Ferguson and Sephie Doris Kuhn Ferguson. He was a member of the Milton Church of Christ, a lifetime member of the VFW Post 9738 Guyandotte, and a member of the American Legion Post 177 Barboursville. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Avery and Earl Ferguson. He is survived by his wife, Lovena Dell Whitt Ferguson; one son, Chris Ferguson of Hanging Rock, Ohio; one daughter, Shelley Canaday of Manchester, Tenn.; two stepsons, Ralph Elliott of Ona and Dale Bowen of Louisa, Ky.; one sister, Doris Ferguson Cooper; one brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Edith Ferguson; sister-in-law Opal Ferguson; two grandsons; two granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a needy family or the Milton Church of Christ, 1702 2nd Street, Milton, WV 25541. There will be no visitation. Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, is in charge of arrangements.
