In the 1970s, Kip Addotta (born Francis Kip Addotta) regularly appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson,” “The Mike Douglas Show,” “Dinah!,” “American Bandstand,” “The Midnight Special,” “Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert” and game shows including “The Hollywood Squares” and “Make Me Laugh.” He was also featured on the “Dr. Demento” radio show with his recording of “Wet Dream.” As an actor, he appeared in “Bound for Glory,” “Wishful Thinking,” “Halfway Decent,” “Harry and the Hendersons” and “The Larry Sanders Show.” His autobiography, published in 2018, was titled “Confessions of a Comedian.”
