Genevieve Mae (Ulmer) Young
Genevieve Mae Ulmer's father was Nelson Howard Ulmer (1897 - 1972) and her mother was Cecelia O Smith (1900 - 1967). She had three sisters. Genevieve married Herbert L. Young (1920 - 2000) on September 13, 1946, in Washington, District of Columbia (at his parents' home). Genevieve and Herbert had three sons: Ray (who passed in 2005), Charles E. "Chuck", and Wayne C. Young. After graduation from high school, Genevieve worked for a couple of years as a secretary in her hometown, then moved to Washington, D.C. to work for the federal government. That is where she met her husband and stayed after her marriage, having three sons. She and her husband later moved to Maryland and they stayed there until he died - almost 54 years after they married. She later moved back to Nebraska, where she died at the age of 94.
