George, thank you for all your inspiring words and for believing in me. I miss you my dear friend. Enjoy the angels. Deanna Albanezi September 2, 2019 George was a warm and kind friend of 40 years; talented and a joy to share an evening, I will miss him. Barbara Studley August 22, 2019 My son, Chris, and I were just talking about George on Sunday as we went through some photos of him with us. George was such a dear man and we miss him greatly. Charolett Baker Friend May 27, 2019 A very special man who made the world a better place. DONALD SCHERZI Friend November 25, 2018 I am shocked! George and I were friends in D.C. since the mid-80s and frequently talked over the years once we both moved from D.C. I even saw him in Palm Beach two years ago! Our last conversation was this past spring and he was even talking about a new project so I am shocked to learn of his death. He was such a remarkable and passionate man with his music and his desire to make the world a better place through his music and education. My family and I are devastated that we did not get to talk to him one more time. My hope is that he did not suffer very long before his passing and that he really is resting in peace. Charolett Baker September 17, 2018 RIP George. Music is in Heaven. Donald Scherzi September 7, 2018 I knew George for only a few days, his last few days unfortunately. You can tell just how great of a person someone is by the people around them. He was definitely loved and I could see that through his caring nephew Jack, his dear friend Josh and the out-of-towners who called to check on him. Geo is definitely a man I won't forget. I wish I could have joined your family and friends to say goodbye Rest peacefully and tell Frankie I say hello!! Xoxo Danielle Ledezma September 3, 2018 My family was very close to the Cort clan, and George was always known for his beautiful smile, and love for his family. My mother and father were close with Marie and Arthur Cort, and shared many ups and downs. All of us shared many good times growing up. There were many parties, where everyone showed up, and exchanged views, jokes, pictures, and anything that would boost your morale. My husband didn't know the family until we got married, although he met some of them before. We(I) wasn't able to see George that often or at all because he traveled, and was in New York entertaining most of the time, but the entire family was part of my life, and my husband and I have watched the children grow into prosperous people. My husband Michael and I will always remember George for the times we did see him, and the man he was. Our sympathies go out to the family and friends of George. Margery Steinberg Solomon September 1, 2018 He could play any Jolson tune in any key. Loved to sing with him. Musics great loss. Love to the Cort family. Ed Horowitz Ed Horowitz Friend August 31, 2018 My love and admiration for George Cort is unending. A family friend for forty five years and when he entered the room his aura was magnetic. He was a gifted pianist and entertainer who never left anyone without a smile! He will be missed and may he Rest In PeaceWith love and respect,Sally Galarneau Sally Galarneau August 31, 2018 Our thoughts and prayers are with the Cort family.I can picture George smiling and playing a tune on his piano as he enters the golden gates of heaven. So we celebrate his life and say thank you George for all you have given us. Pam Labonte August 31, 2018 Pam August 30, 2018 George will be long remember as one of my sons (Joshua Horn) best of friends. They so enjoyed each others company as I did when with the both of them. They laughed, took a break from the world and were truly engaged in life whenever an opportunity presented itself. Whether it be a hurricane coming our way or thoughts about todays current events or what car to buy....they were buddies to the end and George will be surely missed. Loved our George! Donna Berdiner Neighbor August 30, 2018 Our thoughts are with the Cort family today as they lay to rest their beloved George. The music that lived within George now sings a different tune as he enters the next life with all those he loved waiting with open arms. Karon and Lew. Karon Cohen August 29, 2018 We met in 1976 on 46th Street in NYC ~ spent the afternoon with your dear friend Steve Condos and that began the amazing musical journey/marriage we shared for seven years. I could write a book about our escapades in the Catskills, south Florida, NJ and Georgia. You inherited a family of two children and a boxer dog ~ and always maintained a balance between your career a musical celebrity and being a father & husband. Every day of our life together is still indelibly imprinted in my heart. But most of all I'll never forget the pianos, the music, the bands, the musicians who changed my world and made us realize how much fun it was to just do a duo at Mike Zapone's restaurant in Boca! May your eternity be sweet. My love travels to you as it always did. LEIGH August 29, 2018 With eternal love for you darling George. We shared many years of music, family and special memories that only we could remember. May God bless you through eternity. Leigh Cort August 28, 2018 Dear family and friends of Mr.Cort, we send our most sincere condolences on his passing. I remember George mostly because he had the pleasure of dating my sister Arline Solomon in the very early 50's. He was always smiling, and he was a gentleman. She spoke very highly of George, and enjoyed being in his company. He was very smooth and extremely talented. Margery Steinberg and Michael Solomon

For fifty years I have been a Document Examiner and that is how I earn my living. For over 50 years I have also been a publicist for actors, singers, writers, composers, artists, comedians, and many progressive non-profit organizations. I am a Librettist-Composer of a Broadway musical called, "Nellie Bly" and I am in the process of making small changes to it. In addition, I have written over 100 songs that would be considered "popular music" in the genre of THE AMERICAN SONGBOOK.
My family consists of four branches. The Norwegians and The Italians and the Norwegian-Americans and the Italian Americans.
