Great Uncle, Pte. David Simpson Alsbury, Canadian 29tg Vancouver Infantry battalions. WW1
Great uncle Dave's WW1 Canadian infantry attestation papers. Great Grandparents John & Ann Alsbury co-signed as Uncle Dave was underage only 16, required enlistment age of18 during WW1. This seemed to be common expectation of the family during war time. Records indicate numerous father's & sons did whatever necessary to enlist to join the fight.
