Harry Jasper Purple

Harry was the son of George Burt (Wakeley)Purple. Born April 20 1878 in Owego, Tioga County, New York and died on February 21st, 1924 in Newton Highlands, Mass. He was with the advertising department of the United Drug Company.

William Purple

I am interested in the Purple family, the Lucy family, and the Wakeley family. I am the son of Harry Jasper Purple Jr. If you trace the family lineage back far enough you will find adopted children from a first marriage (surname Wakeley), meaning I am not a blood relation to the Purple family. My mother's maiden name is Lucy, which traces it's roots back to England, including Sir Thomas Lucy of Warwickshire who expanded/rebuilt Charlecote (now part of the National Trust).
