Henry Green Vallance and Pearl

Henry was born 17 Feb 1863 in Greenup, Greenup County, Kentucky and died 14 November 1925 in Plaska, Hall County, Texas. He was the son of Carter Vallance and Nancy E. Hanna Vallance of Greenup, Greenup County, Kentucky. Henry was named George G at birth but changed his name to Henry after arriving in Dallas, Texas. Anna Jennettie Pearl Yount was born 2 August 1883 in Polk County, Missouri and died 24 April 1967 in Memphis, Hall County, Texas. She was the daughter of Peter B. Yount and Laura Alice Needham Yount. Henry and Pearl (as she was called) were the parents of six boys and one daughter. All are deceased on this submission date except the daughter. After their marriage in Denton, they moved to a farm that Henry had purchased in Plaska, Hall County, Texas. Henry was in the farming business and farmed until his death in 1925. Pearl continued to live on the farm and raise their children. She remained on the farm until about 1964 and moved into a nursing home because of her health. Henry and Pearl are buried in the Old Fairview Cemetery, Memphis, Hall County, Texas. Henry and Pearl were this submitters Grandfather and Grandmother.
