Julian Moran Hinds, Jr., ETSN, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jul-lan.M. Hinds, 1536 Woodstock Ave., is spending the holidays with his parents.

Julian was graduated from Anniston High School and attended Auburn for two years before enlisting in the Navy in August 1957.

He was enlisted under the Nuclear Field Training program and will attend Electronics Technician school in San Francisco, Calif., Submarine School at New London, Conn., and Nucleonics School at Twin Falls, Idaho, before being assigned duties pertaining to nuclear power.

Julian Moran Hinds Jr was born to parents Julian Moran Hinds Sr. and Josephine Jane Martin. Julian was born and raised in Anniston, Alabama and graduated from Anniston High School After high school, he went on to attend Auburn University before enlisting in the Navy. Julian served two terms with the US Navy. He was enlisted under the Nuclear Field Training program and will attend Electronics Technician School in San Francisco, Submarine School in New London, and Nucleonics School in Twin Falls before being assigned duties related to nuclear power. He first served from August 21, 1957 until June 7, 1961. He re enlisted the following day and served for 6 more years from June 8, 1961 until his last discharge on September 1, 1967. While in service, he married Audrey Gertrude Schiffner (1936–2009) on June 14, 1959 in Reno, NV. The couple had three daughters and two sons together. He later resided in Broomfield CO, Vallejo California, and Rockford, IL. While living in Vallejo, CA he worked as a Shift Test Engineer. Julian Moan Hinds Jr passed away on August 19, 2003 in Ohatchee, Alabama.
