On the back of this picture postcard, Iris M. Eversole gave her name, the date, May, 1922, and what she called her Himalaya Mountain address [as given below], with the instruction to address her in care of Raj Nardgain, C. P. India. Back in America, she had moved from Mitchell, Indiana and lived in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Information on her birth family and her ancestors, etc. can be found in THE EBERSOLE FAMILY IN AMERICA 1727-1937, by Rev. Charles Ebersole. She is found on p. 142, the 9th of 12 children.
Date & Place:
at Mont Pellier, in Lardour, Missoorie, India
I am told there is a picture of Ida, Iris's sister, while she was visiting Iris in India, probably taken by Iris, on display at the Red Deer Archives in Canada. Unlike several other pictures of the Eversoles there, this one is not accessible online.
