Isaac "Ike" Palmer

Isaac "Ike" Palmer was born on January 11, 1882 in Richmond, Kentucky to parents James Palmer and Minnie Parks. He resided in Corbin, Whitley, Kentucky, USA. Ike worked a multitude of odd jobs in his life and was known as "the kind of person who loved the people he worked for... and they loved him, too." On June 25, 1902 he married Ella Hall (1883–) in Hamilton, Ohio, USA. They separated and he married agin on October 17, 1905 to Lillie Yates (1881–). He was then with Mary Elizabeth Patterson (1878-1942) and Ike and Mary were parents to three children, sadly only two survived: Frank Will Palmer (1910-1911), America Palmer (1912-1912) and Bruce Easton Palmer (1913-1976). Later in life after having children, he re married one more time to Lillie Scales (1904-1983) on January 31, 1953 in Hamilton, Ohio, USA. Ike loved children, and was always talking with them. He was a member of the board of directors of the old Lockland YMCA and the basketball team he coached and managed there was named the "I-Palmers" in his honor.
