That really doesn't look like the back of a chair, what with those four thingies coming out of the bottom. They don't look connected to the chair, either.
Sometimes what you think you see is more interesting that what it actually is.😉personally i like thinking this is a folk instrument or laborers tool for ?
So, is anybody Canadian? Have Acorn TV? I think I've watched too much "Murdoch Mysteries" - keep seeing technology in early 20th century photos! But you all gave me a big laugh re: my seeing things that aren't there. Thank you!!! :)
AncientFaces i looked at it first and thought OH A HARP! Then i looked closer and started to lol 😂 ... just blame it on not finding your reading glasses 👓 I do hahaha have a great day
AncientFaces, you have to be old like me ...I can remember seeing stools like this when I was a kid haha . Some of them would go up and down in height .
AncientFaces it’s ok. There are tons of weird antique implements out there that no one knows for what purpose they were used. And I just watched on acorn mystery called Still Life based on a book by Louise Penny and it was set near Montreal.
that instrument my friend is called a chair the man in the picture is displaying his ignorance and lack of knowledge by sitting in it facing backwards lmao
It’s an early industrial chair, probably designed for a workshop or office. The little metal wheel on the back is to adjust the height of the backrest.
A chair. It is used to sit on. Men like to turn them around so they have somewhere to place their arms, or... they straddle because theyd rather be on a horse...
I do not see any instrument. He has his hand resting on the back of his chair. Look at the thickness of the wire and then compare with the legs. Same diameter.
I studied the photo for quite some time looking for anything that looked like a musical instrument. I clicked on the photo, read the responses. Glad someone let him know the guy is sitting on a chair :-)
